Treatment Coordinator, Office Management

 

 

DANYELLE , LCDA

Danyelle is a licensed, registered and is certified in Expanded and Extended Function Dental Assisting, she is not only Dr. Sweeney‘s Assistant but she is also the Clinical and Treatment Coordinator and handles all office management, marketing, web design, and social media. She has been working in the dental field for over 25 years, and has been with Dr. Sweeney for the past 16. Her history consists in working chairside along such specialty doctors in the field as Periodontists, Pediatrics Dentist, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons. She is certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and has exceptional manual dexterity. Danyelle graduated from the Dental Assisting School of Syracuse at the top of her class in 2008. In her spare time she enjoys practicing yoga and spending her free time with her children ages 19 and 23.

Dental Assistants

 

 

TAMMY , LCDA

Tammy is a Registered and Licensed Dental Assistant in Expanded and Extended Functions. She has been working in the Field of Dentistry for 30 years. Tammy received her license in the year 2000 after taking The Advanced Placement Course at BOCES. She is also CPR Certified and has been working alongside Doctor Sweeney since 2008.  She has a 16 yr old son who she enjoys watching and playing basketball. Her other interests include crocheting, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.

With Tammy’s additional training and license she is legally permitted to provide certain intra-oral patient education and care procedures beyond the duties traditionally performed by a dental assistant. This entails but is not limited to Laboratory Functions, In house Bleaching, Radiology, Patient Education, Suture Removal, and making of Temporary Crowns and Bridges. Tammy’s warm smile and tender heart makes any new patient feel calmer, at ease and secure in her dental chair.

In addition to Tammy’s expanded functions, she is also an office Treatment Coordinator. Providing the best care possible for Dr. Sweeney‘s patients and educating her patients to the best of her abilities in all their dental needs. Tammy keeps up to date in all of today’s technologies by attending seminars and courses often with Dr. Sweeney. Her latest course taken was at Buffalo State University on Implant Placement Surgery.

 

HEATHER , LCDA

Heather began working in the dental field in 1999 working in both general and specialty practices.  She has worked as a Dental Assistant but has also worked as part of the front office team.
Heather loves spending time with her daughter who is now 25 years old and her fiance and his daughter, as well as her two dogs, an English Mastiff and a Pit/Beagle mix.

 

MEGHAN, LCDA

Meghan joined the team as our receptionist in December 2025. She is a Registered Dental Assistant and a recipient of the 2024 Richard M. Sturr Memorial Award. She brings a background in Orthodontics to her role as a receptionist. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment and helping patients feel comfortable from their first phone call to the moment they walk through the door.

In her time away from the office, Meghan enjoys long bike rides, camping, gardening, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her Fiancé & pet rabbits.

KARIE RDH

Karie graduated from OCC with Honors in 1994. She pursued her career in Dental Hygiene and has been practicing at this office since 1996. She is married and has two lovely children. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time in the beautiful Adirondacks with her family. Karie believes that maintaining good oral hygiene is one of the most important things you can do for health of your teeth and gums. Healthy teeth not only enable you to look and feel good, they make it possible to eat and speak properly. Karie practices good oral health and strives to educate her patients because good oral health is important to your overall well being.

 

 

JILLIAN RDH

Jillian joined  our team in 2020 and is dedicated  to providing quality  and compassionate patient care.   Her commitment to providing stellar patient care is rooted with the combination of clinical hygiene and education experience.
Ongoing education has allowed her to stay current with our industry standards.
Outside of our office Jillian  is a mom of 2.  These Littles keep her life busy with lots of outdoor activities.

 

COBBIE RDH

Cobbie has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over thirty years.  She attended Onondaga Community College and graduated with honors.  Cobbie has also worked at other practices in the surrounding Syracuse area including a Periodontal and Oral Surgery practice.  When Cobbie is not practicing she enjoys spending time with her husband Rhett and two children Lucas and Olyvia.  She also loves teaching HIIT classes and group exercise classes at her local gym, as well as spending time in Florida.

 

HEMIXA RDH

Hemixa is a registered dental hygienist with over two decades of experience dedicated to promoting excellent oral health and patient care. I graduated from Onondaga Community College (OCC) in 1997 and have since built my career on providing thorough, gentle, and personalized dental hygiene services.

My goal is not only to improve oral health but also to empower patients with the knowledge and confidence to care for their smiles every day.

In my free time, I enjoy sewing, beading, and spending quality time with my family and dogs.
